Okay this may be a dumb question, but I've got light golden blonde hair naturally and I'm wanting to color my hair white blonde. How should I go about it? Because I feel just bleaching it wont get my hair the white blonde I want.
If you want platinum/white blonde, you can get there by bleaching it. That, and using different toners can help you reach your goal.
i would like to know if you think that Crazy Color by Rendow is a good hairdye. i heard that it stain a lot and don't last long ...
so what's your opinion about it ? do you think these statements are true ?
I’ve never used it, and I don’t want to assume anything about a product I’ve never used before! I’d suggest you look up some stuff about it and see what other people’s opinions are about it.
I really am having trouble dying my hair. i want to go all purple or blue, but my hair is dyed black on almost all of my head. Can you please suggest what I do to get the color i want with the least amount of damage?
I have information on lightening hair and preventing damage on my hair care page and also on my hair coloring/styling page.
Hello I absolutely love your page. I was wondering if you can show me some hairstyles or colors that are red with blonde, blonde with red underneath, and how to find a hairstyle with someone with thin hair and an oval face with now cheekbones. Thank you <3
With thin hair, you can have some layer put in to make it not look so flat and thin, it will add some volume.
Helloo~ i love your blog and i like your taste of hairstyles. ;D
Oh and i have a question.
How do get the crown of your hair to be thicker and have more volume?
My hair is really long with long layers, so its like weighing my hair down i guess. :c
It really is hard with long hair with long layers to get some volume.
First thing you want to do is grab a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Second, blow drying your hair with your head upside down will always give it some volume. If that’s not enough, you can use a comb and back comb the roots underneath your first layer of hair (be sure you use hairspray). There are also volumizing powders on the market that you put at your roots and tease your hair with.
Hey! I got a pixie cut last year and I absolutely loved it, since then I've gone through much love/hate phases with it.
I'm several months overdue for a trim and I have a dilemma. I don't know if I should chop it short again or try and grow it long..
Do you know of any styles inbetween? At the moment, the shortest layers at the back almost reach my neckline, maybe off by an inch or two. And then I have this darling mullet (always tied up or pinned back)
The hair at the front aaaaaalmost reaches my jaw bone, but the shortest layers on top only reach the top of my ears.
Sigh. I am at my wits end, honestly. I want lovely, pretty hair again but I am so lost as to where to go with it.
I had the same problem for a while, and it can be really tough! Really, it’s hard to find a great haircut for the “awkward length” as everyone calls it. Some people love having their hair at that length but some just really hate it and want it to grow.
What I personally did was trim up my layers every now and again just to give it shape as it grew out, but I let the longest part grow for a while. I did a lot to make my hair grow faster in that period of time and it definitely worked. If you want information on that I have it in the hair care section under hair growth.
I think you should try and stick through growing it out just a little longer, since it seems like that’s what you want. Don’t settle for short hair if you aren’t happy with it. If you really can’t take growing it out any longer, come back to me and I’ll be happy to find you a style :)
Hi! love this blog!
I was wondering, will pastel pink hair highlight the redness/ruddiness of my skin tone?
Thank you :)
Some people might disagree and say to not do it, but I’ve seen people color their hair all different colors (even ones that people say don’t go with the same skin tone) and it looks great. It really depends how red your skin actually is.
i want to ombre my hair a lighter color, we already got the color, but my mom's not letting me bleach it first and i have dark brown hair.. will it still work? :/
Hmm, I’d need to know what color. With dark brown hair you are going to need to lighten it first for sure. You can’t really put blonde color over dark brown hair, it will turn pretty nasty a lot of the time.
I'm gonna start my senior year of college in a month. I'm really excited. I'm just enjoying my last summer and trying to take care of my hair. I have thin hair and it tends to get a little greasy so I have to wash it every day. (I have hear that some people do not wash it everyday but i do.) I cut my hair 5 inches a week ago. Because it so thin it gets splits ends really easy. I want to start my last year off school with a new look. I have a oval/round face and my hair is by my shoulders. I do not have any layers right now so its plain straight with bangs. I want a fun and edgy look. I will be applying to different programs so I don't want any drastic colors. I want to keep it fun and classy all at the same time. Ohh and my hair its super straight. Thanks
Alright let me try and find you a few different looks! And I hope you have fun with your senior year :)
Not really sure exactly what kind of look you are going for and if you want to take off some length or add some color, but I’ll post a few different options for you and I hope you like some.
With straight hair, you really do have a lot of options.
This is me, the redhead, I was looking for a product line that I could use to get a color similar to Ariana Grande's color that I could dye myself? Thanks! :)
Hi, the picture isn’t working but I can still point you in a direction of red hair color :)
Ion Color Brilliance has some great red shades. You can get it at a lot of beauty stores or online at sallybeauty.com
If you still don’t see one that you think will get you to the correct color I can help you further :)
I have just started dying my hair this december gone and it has started to snap out quite allot I have never had my hair short but aparently it will make my hair better if I want to keep dying it also do you have any styles in mind?
Yes, it will help to keep your hair short but you should also make sure you are protecting it and doing necessary things to keep it healthy.
I’m not sure how short you are looking into doing but I’ll give you some ideas:
This is DIY hair. Meaning do it yourself. Meaning not professionally. This is to teach people how to color and style their hair on their own and what products to buy to do so. This is also a hair inspiration blog for people who want a new haircut, style, or color.
I never recommend anyone cutting their own hair unless they are confident in doing so.
This isn’t a hair salon, it’s an advice blog, and in case no one has read it clearly, I’m not a hairdresser. I never said I was, but I have been mentored by them and taught some amazing tricks and ways to do hair. I never make anyone pay me for haircutting/styling/coloring.
I love all of my followers and all of the people who give me the great opportunity of doing their hair.
Hey, you seem to have ignored my ask where I said that it is 100% illegal to cut hair professionally without a cosmetology license.
What's up with that? Well, see ya!
Oh, and have a NICE day.
Maybe because I have about 90 questions to answer and yours is of no importance to me. I feel stupid even taking the time to give you an answer. But if you must know, I don’t charge people, most of the time I even buy the dye and color when I do peoples hair, and I always have their consent to do what I am doing.
Oh, and the laws are different in different states.
Next time, I won’t be answering any of your sarcastic asks. But thanks for taking the time to visit my blog twice (or more) anyway.
My hair is very. very fine and very naturally straight. I've always been encouraged to have it in shorter styles because fine hair doesn't look good long apparently. I'm currently growing mine out and I personally think it looks thicker than ever. Can you suggest any long styles for fine hair?
I do someones hair pretty often, and she has very fine hair but always keeps it short. She did have long hair for a little while, and managed to keep it looking good.
What you have to do with fine hair is always make sure it has texture so you aren’t getting flat lifeless strands.
Even if it’s just a little texture, not layers all over, like this:
it can help with fine hair. This girl has very long hair though, I’m not sure how long yours is.
If you show me a picture of yourself I can help you decide on some styles. :)
